Former AOA member Mina live-streaming her apology backfired on her.
As previously reported, the former idol member held a live stream about 4 a.m. KST on July 5th, apologizing to Yoo’s ex-girlfriend (the man whom she dated). She talked about everything from her wrongdoings with her now-ex-boyfriend Yoo to her trauma from a rape when she was in middle school during an hour-long live stream.
Mina revealed there was a member who enjoyed having sexual intercourse while addressing her history and earlier statements surrounding the bullying situation involving Jimin. Mina was chastised by the internet for inadvertently divulging the private life of a female idol member, which could hurt her reputation and cause her to become another victim.
The following are some of the comments: “Wow, she practically threw members of the AOA under the bus. She is encouraging the trolls to harass other women sexually.”
“How does that have anything to do with her admitting to cheating?”
“She has crossed a line and requires immediate medical attention.”
“She is completely enamored with Jimin. Her entire ‘apology’ is about Jimin in some way. When she revealed she had considered murdering Jimin and then killing herself, I thought she needed to be treated.”
“What’s the matter with her?”
“Let her get the medical attention she needs, and AOA can return to the industry.”
“OK, I’m not sure why she felt compelled to reveal other members’ personal lives while addressing reports about her cervical cancer?”
Mina had promised to stay away from social media for a while, but she has now responded to a comment on her live broadcast, disclosing the aforementioned member. “Now there are headlines suggesting there’s a member who enjoys having sexual intercourse and other online communities are sexually harassing each member while speculating lol When will you take responsibility for your activity when members were once again injured?” the comment said. “Oh, that was Shin Jimin,” Mina said.
