Netflix will release a heartwarming story “Move to Heaven” on May 14. Geu-ru, a young man with Asperger’s syndrome, and Sang-gu, who finds himself as Geu-guardian, ru’s star in the Netflix Original Series Move to Heaven. The two work as ‘trauma cleaners,’ a group of people who carry out the deceased’s last belongings and unearth stories that have been left behind. Geu-ru and Sang-gu join hands to assist those who have passed away in their last journey and send their messages to loved ones.
Move to Heaven is an inspiring story based on a nonfiction essay ‘Things Left Behind’ written by Kim Sae-byul who is also one of the first trauma cleaners in Korea.
Director Kim Sung-ho and writer Yoon Ji-ryun collaborate to present a collection of stories about those who have died, told through the eyes of Geu-ru, who has Asperger’s syndrome.
Lee Je-hoon, Tang Jun-sang, and Hong Seung-hee, as well as Ji Jin-hee and Lee Jae-wook, who make special appearances, are among the cast members who are known for bringing sincerity and passion to their roles.
The teaser trailer begins with Geu-ru and Sang-gu at the gravesite of a deceased person. “My name is Han Geu-ru, and I’m a trauma cleaner. I’ll start assisting you with your final move.” With this statement, the two go over the deceased’s prized possessions one by one. The yellow box of Move to Heaven slowly fills up as the void of someone who no longer lives is slowly drained of the remains of a life lived. Geu-ru and Sang-gu tell the final stories of those who have died and are left behind, providing much consolation and empathy with their final words of farewell.
“Move to Heaven”, an inspiring story that will melt viewers’ hearts this spring, will be released on May 14th only on Netflix.
