Suzy is in Talks to Play the Lead in a New Drama.

Suzy might be making her return to the small screen!

On July 8, Star News reported that Suzy had been cast in Coupang Play’s original series “The Second Anna” (literal title).

“Suzy is positively examining a casting offer for ‘The Second Anna,’” a source from her agency Management SOOP told Joy News 24 in response to the report.

“The Second Anna” is a new project directed by Lee Joo Young, who directed Lee Byung Hun and Gong Hyo Jin in the 2017 film “A Single Rider.” Originally envisioned as a feature, “The Second Anna” will instead be an eight-episode drama. It follows the narrative of Anna, a lady who tries to live the life of someone else, akin to the “Ripley Syndrome,” a sort of antisocial personality disorder in which the individual lies all the time and lives in a fictional world that isn’t real.

Suzy chose to star in “The Second Anna” because she trusted director Lee Joo Young and the drama’s screenplay, according to Star News. After wrapping up the casting process for “The Second Anna,” the production team hopes to shoot the drama this year.
