Actor Song Kang has revealed his efforts to lose weight for his role.
The press conference for the upcoming JTBC drama series ‘Nevertheless’ (authored by Jeong Won and directed by Kim Ga Ram) took place on June 18th. In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the press conference was streamed live online. Song Kang, Han So Hwee, and director Kim Ga Ram were all present on this day.
“I thought a lot about how I should go about performing my role,” Song Kang said, “but I was able to convey my character successfully by interacting with the director frequently.” Song Kang also revealed that he had reduced 5kg (11lbs 4oz) in order to better synchronize with his Park Jae-Un character. Song Kang remarked, “Park Jae-Un may appear to be a soft person at first glance, yet he also exudes a chill. I thought it would be excellent to have a sharp feature to emphasize it, therefore I shed 5 kg.”
The first episode of ‘Nevertheless’ will air on June 19, at 11PM KST.
