A strong earthquake has wreaked havoc on Seoul. The only building that survived the earthquake is Hwanggoong Apartment. The survivors arrive at Hwanggoong Apartment.
The residents of Hwanggoong apartment are temporarily led by Young-Tak (Lee Byung-Hun). Young-Tak attempts to shield the residents from strangers as the situation unfolds. Min-Sung (Park Seo-Joon) worked as a government official. Young-Tak chooses him to be his assistant. Myeong-Hwa (Park Bo-Young) is Min-Sung’s wife and a nurse. She takes care of the injured.
