Kim Jung Hyun has issued a handwritten letter of apology for his behavior while filming the 2018 drama “Time,” in which he co-starred with Seohyun from Girls’ Generation.
Kim Jung Hyun had just been chastised for his actions at the drama’s press conference at the time. According to Dispatch, some scenes in the drama that involved physical interaction between Kim Jung Hyun and Seohyun have been changed or deleted from the script. Dispatch also disclosed text messages between Kim Jung Hyun and his girlfriend at the time, Seo Ye Ji.
According to the conversations, Seo Ye Ji was coercing Kim Jung Hyun into avoiding interaction with female staff and actresses, including his co-star, and asking him to change the script.
Seo Ye Ji’s agency released a statement on April 13 confirming that she and Kim Jung Hyun were dating at the time, but denying that Seo Ye Ji was to blame for Kim Jung Hyun’s actions. Kim Jung Hyun will issue a separate comment, according to the agency.

Meanwhile, Kim Jung Hyun’s exclusive deal with O& Entertainment is said to be in dispute. According to sources, Kim Jung Hyun claims that his deal is set to expire in May, but the agency claims that his hiatus should not be counted as part of the contract’s duration. Kim Jung Hyun took an 11-month hiatus after leaving “Time” in 2018 and returned to acting in December 2019 with “Crash Landing on You.” Along with dating gossip about Seo Ji Hye, which both parties debunked, Kim Jung Hyun was recently reported to be in negotiations to join her agency Culture Depot.
