The actress expressed her passion for flowers in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Korea. “I don’t know the name, but a wild flower caught my eye,” Song Hye Kyo said when asked if there’s a flower she looks like. My mother has always loved freesias. Maybe this is why, rather than a perfectly pretty flower like a rose, I prefer flowers that can be seen in the field or flowers that have bloomed on the stem and droop downwards.” Song Hye Kyo said that her dogs bring her as much joy as flowers do. “I wish they could talk,” she said. I have no thoughts when I look at my puppies, and I feel good.”
When asked about the success of her old sitcom “Soonpoong Clinic,” Song Hye Kyo said, “I shot ‘Soonpoong Clinic’ for three years.” As a result, it captures the moment when I was both pretty and plump. It shows both aspects of me, and there were moments when the makeup looked tacky because it was so old, and other times when I was really pretty. Song Hye Kyo said of her forthcoming revenge drama “The Glory” (literal title), written by screenwriter Kim Eun Sook, “It’s a genre I haven’t done before.” I was concerned about my ability to do it well. There was excitement about something I’d never done before, and I’m excited to see if I’ll come off. When I see screenwriter Kim Eun Sook, we always say stuff like, “How about something like this?” and ‘I’d like to do something similar!’ With this initiative, the discussions we’ve had in the past become a reality.”
Song Hye Kyo expressed her excitement at the prospect of returning to set for the first time in a long time, noting that she lacks the buzz on set when she isn’t acting. “I didn’t realize it when I was younger, but now that I realize there isn’t much time left, I don’t know when I’ll be acting and be able to act,” she said. Song Hye Kyo said that if she weren’t performing, she would be traveling with friends, walking her puppy, painting, or learning English and Chinese alone, and that she would like to have some alone time.
Song Hye Kyo also said that she hadn’t changed much since her twenties and thirties. “I have a lot of excitement, and I have no fear, even though it seems like I do at times,” she said.
“I went to New York and San Francisco on my own, so I consider myself independent and love my freedom.” The actress mentioned that she believes in astrology and personality testing, but she chooses older tests because the MBTI test seems to be too difficult for her.
Finally, Song Hye Kyo discussed being optimistic in the face of adversity by believing that it would pass. “Besides work, I’m just at home or walking my puppy, so I’m not on the lookout for anything,” she said. It’s probably because I’m surrounded by nice people.”
