On January 19, the much-anticipated sci-fi blockbuster movie “Space Sweepers” shared a thrilling main trailer!
As the crew of a space junk collector ship named The Victory, the star-studded cast of “Space Sweepers” includes Song Joong Ki, Kim Tae Ri, Jin Seon Kyu and Yoo Hae Jin. Set in 2092, where they come across a humanoid robot called Dorothy, known to be a weapon of mass destruction, the plot follows the space scavengers as they find themselves embroiled in a risky business deal.
The latest trailer begins with a look at the maverick crew, including pilot Tae Ho (Song Joong Ki), Captain Jang (Kim Tae Ri), engineer Tiger Park (Jin Seon Kyu), and the harpoonist robot of the ship (Yoo Hae Jin), as they raise money by gathering and selling space junk.
They are first surprised by the robot who looks like a young human kid when they have the good luck of stumbling across Dorothy by accident. When they know this could be a big money-making chance, they become optimistic, but things don’t go according to plan and they end up facing a major problem. “These misfits might just save the world,” the trailer’s tag line reads, “These misfits might just save the world.”

‘Space Sweepers’ was initially scheduled to premiere in theaters in the summer of 2020, but the film will now be released on Netflix in 190 countries on February 5 after several postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
