Seo Ye Ji and Park Byung Eun have been cast in a new tvN drama!
Seo Ye Ji is considering an offer for the main part in tvN’s “Eve’s Scandal” (literal title), a drama set to debut in the first half of 2022, according to news site Munhwa Ilbo.
“We gave the script to Seo Ye Ji, and we are presently in the process of coordinating our opinions and waiting for her final response,” a tvN insider told Munhwa Ilbo. Her management company, GOLDMEDALIST, has verified that she has been offered the part and is considering it.
Park Byung Eun, who will star alongside Seo Ye Ji in the drama, has also been confirmed. “Park Byung Eun was offered a role in tvN’s new drama ‘Eve’s Scandal’ and is looking over it,” a source from C-JeS Entertainment revealed.
“Eve’s Scandal” is a melodrama about the inside narrative of a chaebol’s 2-trillion-won (about $1.7 billion) divorce battle, which shocks the entire country. The drama, written by Yoon Young Mi, is said to be a popular issue among industry insiders due to its strong storyline.
Seo Ye Ji is claimed to have been offered the role of Lee Ra El, a child born to a brilliant father and a lovely mother. She changes into a woman with a lethal charm who is compared to a “dangerous flower” after an unhappy family affair. She is the woman at the center of an exorbitantly priced divorce case.
Park Byung Eun was appointed as the CEO of the world’s largest financial corporation. This will be Park Byung Eun’s first leading part in a drama if he accepts the offer. Currently, the actor is featured in JTBC’s “Lost.”
Seo Ye Ji rose to international prominence because to tvN’s “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.” She has not been in public since the issue over her alleged manipulation of Kim Jung Hyun’s behavior in 2018, and she has also withdrawn from the drama “Island,” for which she had been cast. Her most recent collaboration with Kim Kang Woo was on the film “Recalled.”
