The highly anticipated debut of “Kingdom: Ashin of the North” is approaching!
As a continuation of season two of “Kingdom,” “Kingdom: Ashin of the North” will focus on Ashin, the enigmatic character Lee Chang’s (Joo Ji Hoon) team met while traveling north in pursuit of the secret behind the resurrection plant. After making an appearance at the end of season two, Jun Ji Hyun’s character became a hot issue, and Ashin’s secret backstory will finally be disclosed in this special episode. The episode will recount the origin story of the resurrection plant, as well as the story of Ashin, the successor to the Northern Yeojin tribe village.
On June 14, Netflix released five teaser posters for Ashin and the Resurrection Plant, which tease the fascinating and exciting plot of Ashin and the Resurrection Plant. A juvenile Ashin (Kim Si Ah), the mature version of Ashin, a purple flower known as the resurrection plant, a scarred tiger, and a terrifying mound of bodies are all depicted on the posters. The description on the posters reads, “Death that will swallow Joseon is blossoming.” These five images are related to the massive catastrophe that has struck Joseon, and the caption on the posters reads, “Death that will swallow Joseon is flowering.”
Director Kim Sung Hoon, who oversaw the general production of seasons one and two of “Kingdom,” will direct “Kingdom: Ashin of the North.” Kim Eun Hee, who wrote the first two seasons of “Kingdom,” will also contribute to the special episode’s scriptwriting. BA Entertainment and Studio Dragon will collaborate on the episode.
