Lee Da Hee to Replace Seo Yeji in Upcoming Drama ‘Island’ Starring Kim Nam Gil and Cha Eun Woo

Lee Da Hee is said to appear in the upcoming drama “Island” (literal title).

Lee Da Hee was cast as the female lead in “Island” on May 17, according to Sports Donga. Seo Ye Ji was previously in discussion for the role. Lee Da Hee was apparently chosen by the producers as the best match for the part, and the actress praised the production’s excellence.

“Lee Da Hee has got an offer to feature in ‘Island,’ and is enthusiastically reviewing it,” her agency, Santa Claus Entertainment, told Newsen.

“Island” is a fantasy exorcism drama based on the same-named webtoon. It will follow Pan, who is looking for a lady to end his cursed everlasting existence, and Won Mi Ho, the daughter of a wealthy family who is being pursued by goblins. Exorcist priest John, who is plagued by remorse about not being able to protect one girl, joins them. The three people who seemed unlikely to get along will summon their strength to protect each other on the island that, despite its beauty, has a terrible shadow.

According to reports, “Island” will feature numerous seasons. Because the female lead has yet to be confirmed, the broadcast schedule is still up in the air. According to Sports Donga, the first season would have broadcast at the end of this year if everything had gone according to plan. It’s also been stated that the production process might start as early as this summer if the casting is completed now.
