Jinyoung from GOT7 may be cast alongside Kim Go Eun!
Yumi’s Cells is a drama based on a popular webtoon about an ordinary office worker named Yumi, as seen through the eyes of the brain cells that control her thoughts, feelings, and actions. Yumi will be played by Kim Go Eun, and her love interest, Goo Woong, will be played by Ahn Bo Hyun. Minho from SHINee will make a cameo appearance in the drama.
On April 20, Sports Chosun announced that Jinyoung had been cast as Yumi’s second boyfriend, Yoo Babi. Jinyoung will star opposite Kim Go Eun in the drama’s second season, according to reports.
“Yumi’s Cells” will be directed by Lee Sang Yeob, who also directed “Familiar Wife” and “Shopping King Louie,” and co-written by Song Jae Jung, who wrote “Memories of the Alhambra,” Kim Yoon Joo, and newcomer Kim Kyung Ran.
Jinyoung made his acting debut in 2012 with “Dream High 2,” and since then has starred in projects such as “When a Man Falls in Love,” “My Love Eun Dong,” “The Legend of the Blue Sea,” “He Is Psychometric,” and “When My Love Blooms.” He recently wrapped up shooting the film “The Angel Without, The Devil Within” (tentative title) and is filming tvN’s “Devil Judge” with Ji Sung.
