Ji Soo, the star from “River Where the Moon Rises,” is the new celebrity to be accused of bullying at school.
A netizen pretending to be a former classmate of Ji Soo’s at Seorabeol Middle School reported on March 2 that the actor was a teenage delinquent and bully. He also said that he was bullied by the celebrity between 2006 and 2008. “Actor Ji Soo is a perpetrator of school violence,” the netizen wrote.
The poster went on to state that while Ji Soo looks sweet on television, he was one of the top bullies at school in 2007, and that the actor was much bigger than his classmates. “His regular schedule was really planned,” the suspected victim explained. “First and foremost, Ji Soo and the other bullies would always fight. When one of their group members was sad, they will all come looking for me then beat me up by stomping on me and swearing at me.”
According to the netizen, Ji Soo and his bully buddies were smokers who threatened other students into buying them cigarettes and took cafeteria seats. “They would smash other students with their spoons or throw the food while kimchee radish or cherry tomatoes were served for lunch,” he added “I can still hear them laughing amongst themselves as they see the food hit my face or clothing. I can still see your eye-smile like how you show on screen now.”
“The reason this all started against me was because one of the bullies in Ji Soo’s party took away a gift card from student ‘B,’ and I told the bully I would tell the police if they didn’t give it back,” the alleged victim said.
The netizen went on to claim more. Every day, Ji Soo would swear at fellow students, including curses aimed at the students’ parents, and they intimidated anyone who hung out with the supposed victim. “I couldn’t go anywhere but the school,” he said, “where the students who were going through the same thing as me went. The hallway, the kitchen, and the cafeteria are all off limits. I’d be backed into a corner if I bumped into him in the stairwell, and I’d have to listen to his offensive words… I was afraid of getting near them. My friend and I used to eat our cup ramyun for lunch behind the classroom television in 9th grade.”
The actor is also accused of firing a BB gun at other students on the school bus while laughing and shooting out the window. “I don’t want an apology or restitution,” the netizen added. It has already existed. I don’t get an apology for anything that can’t be reversed. I don’t believe it will be sincere. There’s one thing I’d like to have. Kim Ji Soo is a South Korean actor.
Do something if you intend to behave. However, if you do, you must have the title of victim of school violence before your name. So many people you’ve bullied, like me, will never forgive you. Pretending to be sweet, kind, and a respectable human being. I can’t stand staring at it. Act only onscreen.”
The accusations will be investigated by Ji Soo’s label, KeyEast.
